Siklis Trek is a short yet fascinating trek that lies in the foothill of the Annapurna. It is a newly developed trekking trail that provides you an opportunity to come to the beautiful villages nestled by the Gurungs one of the major ethnic group in the country. It is also home to the Gurkha warriors well renowned for their bravery in the whole world. The trail passes through the rhododendron forest at times as well as through the beautiful terraced hills at times. Siklis trek offers the panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, Dhampus peak, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal. The trek also is great to learn about the tradition and culture of the people living in the area that has been prevailing for many decades.

TRIP INCLUDES:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Meals included: Dinner

Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle comfortably. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During the meeting, we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we schedule a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley (1400m) and Trek preparation day
Meals included: Breakfast

After the breakfast, you will be visiting the different places in Kathmandu. There are many historic and cultural places that are of great significance in Kathmandu. You will get to see the major attractions of the city along with our professional guide and a private vehicle. The following are the major places that you will visit:
You will be visiting Patan Durbar Square, which has been listed in the UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.You can enjoy the age-old cultural heritage of the city. Boudhanath and Swayambhunath a sacred pilgrimage of the Buddhist and Pashupatinath, a very famous Hindu temple are the attraction of today’s sightseeing program. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (820 m) (approx. 6-7 hours) 
Total duration: 6-7 hours (Bus Ride) 
Meals included: Breakfast 

Today our guide will pick you up from the hotel and will escort you to the bus stop to catch the early morning bus tourist coach to Pokhara. Your journey is going to be a very pleasant one along the Trisuli River up till Muglin. You will have your breakfast and lunch on your way to Pokhara. After almost 6 hours of a pleasant road travel, you will reach Pokhara, known as the valley of Lakes. Pokhara is the famous valley and probably among the most popular tourists' destinations of Nepal. Once you reach Pokhara, you can spend rest of your day exploring the city or Phewa Lake. The night will be spent at a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Bijaypur Khola and trek to Kalikasthan (approx. 5 hours)
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

After an early breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara, you will be heading towards Bijaypur Khola which will take you about an hour drive to reach there. Bijaypur Khola will be the trek starting point for your Siklis Trek. From there on you will be trekking through the rice fields through various villages and through Chautaras which is the traditional resting places in the villages. The trail will further lead you towards Kalikasthan which will be your destination of the day. Overnight at a lodge/ Homestay in Kalikasthan

Day 05: Trek to Lamakhet (approx. 6 hours)
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

From Kalikasthan you will be heading towards Lamakhet. While on a trek, you will be passing through the local village where you will get an opportunity to learn more about the local and ethnic culture and traditions of the people living in the area. The trek is sort of easy and pleasing as you will get to see the beautiful vistas of the lush green hills and encounter the beautiful villages while walking through the river bank until you reach Lamakhet. Overnight at a lodge/ Homestay at Lamakhet

Day 06: Trek to Siklis (approx. 6 hours)
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today you will be starting the trek with a general walking across the river bank until Khilan Gaun. You might also get an opportunity to take a glimpse of the gigantic Mt. Machhapuchhre from the village. From the Khilan Gaun, you will take an uphill climb towards another village named Parche. The trails further lead to the steepest climb of the trek till Siklis. Siklis is one of the oldest and largest Gurung Village in the area. Most of the people here are engaged in agriculture and animal herding the people here are also known for their servitude in the Indian and British army. After reaching Siklis, you can spare some time for relaxation and then continue to explore the village. If time permits, you can also visit the Eco Museum to know the better insights of the village and local people.Overnight at a lodge/ Homestay in Siklis

Day 07: Trek to Bhaisikharka (approx. 6 hours)
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

From Siklis, you will be taking a downhill trek towards Bhaisi Kharka. While trekking, you will be passing through some temples and villages enjoying the beautiful scenery. Overnight at a lodge at Bhaisi Kharka.

Day 08: Trek to Ghalegaon (approx. 5 hours)
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today you will be trekking towards Ghalegaon. Ghalegaon is a small village inhabited by the Gurung and Magar’s of the country. They are the ethnic groups that have been living in the area for many years. As you communicate with them you will learn about the local lifestyle and a lot more about the culture and tradition that they have been giving continuity too. Today you will be trekking through the lush rhododendron forests descending towards Ghalegaon village. Overnight at a lodge/ Homestay in Ghalegaon. 

Day 09: Trek to Besisahar via Khudi 
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch

Today is the last day of trekking as you will be trekking toward Besisahar as your final destination. You will be following the trail of towards Khudi via Lama Goan. At Khudi, enjoy lunch and trek along the trail above Marshyangdi River to Besisahar. Overnight at a lodge in Besisahar.

Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu 
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today, you will have a bumpy ride for 2/3 hours on mishmash road till Dumre, then drive in a highway in a tourist coach to Kathmandu. On the way, you can enjoy rural landscapes dominated by lush vegetation and rushing rivers. It will take around 6/7 hours to reach Kathmandu. On your arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. To make your evening a wonderful eve, we invite you to dinner. You can also feedback about the trip and suggestion to make our service best one.

Day 11: Depart Kathmandu 
Meals included: Breakfast

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
Moreover, trekker’s safety is always the top priority in any trek. Therefore, the team leader on duty is given every authority to make changes in the itinerary provided, in case of unexpected weather change, the unsuitable health condition of a group member or an unforeseen natural disaster. If needed, team leader might also cancel any part of the itinerary. Hence, in such a situation we request you to co-operate with our team leader and remain flexible.)
 

We have prepared the trip departure dates in small groups departure for group fun and enjoyment trekking. Our group size start from 2 peoples (Even for solo travelers, we organize single trip on supplement cost of US$- 200 additional) and maximum group size will be 8-10 travelers. But in general, our every date will have small groups of 4- 6 peoples, which is good group size for safe and flexible & comfortable trekking.
