You can blow it up and ignore it pretending it’s not there. You can turn around and go back the way you came. Or you can stay on the mountain and make it your home. The choice is all your's.

Not everyone gets to see the magnificent view of  the world's tallest peaks from a close proximity as we do. Mountains are the pride of Nepal and are open to be explored by the trekkers and climbers from all around the world. One can always choose the package that suits the time and budget as we offer wide range of packages ranging from a short trip of 7 days to a lengthy one over 20 days. Spring Season (March to May) and autumn season (October to December) are considered to be the best season to travel this region because in monsoon the trails are slippery and there are probability of landslides and extreme winter season is not suggested because the visibility might get worse due to cloud and fog.

The 18 days trek to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo is one of the perfect packages to savor the beauty of the Peaks around the khumbu region whilst enjoying the journey by trekking on peaceful and less busy trails through Gokyo valley. This trek can be considered as one of the adventurous trek of the Everest region that offers a majestic view of Mt. Everest and others associated peaks, the age old Sherpa culture, and very enticing scenic beauty.

Classic Outdoors offers you a 18 days standard package for Everest base Camp Via Gokyo Valley Trek that includes full accommodation and meal throughout the trek along with bed and breakfast in Kathmandu. • Group Size During Trek

Trekking in Nepal is regarded as rewarding experience for the nature lovers. In our featured website products, we generally run the trip with the minimum of 2 persons in a group. The given program is just a suggested itinerary which can be customized as per the client’s preference.  However, if you would like to travel independently, or with your friends, families for any number of people we would be happy to arrange a personalized trip only for you in your suitable period of time.

We also arrange TREKS FOR SINGLE WOMAN. If none of our fixed group departure dates work for you and you do not have anyone to accompany you, you can still be able to make your preferred trip with us. There is absolutely nothing to worry about making it solo trip. We assign local guide, porters etc who you can trust your life with.

Normally for a group, we provide 1 main guide, 1 assistance guide along with 1 porter for every 2 trekkers. Moreover, for every additional 2 trekkers, 1 more assistance and a porter will be provided.

  • Trek Guides and staff.

For trekking, we provide local experienced trek guide who can communicate well with the guests and explain well about the trails, customs and traditions of the local community living in the area. The role of the trek leader is to ensure that the trip runs smoothly. He will share their local knowledge, co-ordinate the day to day running of the tour. If you have any problems on the tour, please let your Trek Leader know so that steps can be taken to put it right.

We are a well stabilized adventure company and we employed professional trek leader (who are based on English speaking and few are multi-lingual's) and required crew member (they have basic knowledge of communication). We also provide the training to our staff increasing their work efficiency. And our guides are intimately familiar with all local castes and customs along the trails and will share with you many cultural insights that are not covered in any guide book. You will have good chance to learn Nepali phrases, cultural things and more on your Trekking. Nepal Vision trained its guide/trekking staff on following course.

  • Trekking Guide Training & licensed- Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation department of Hotel Management & Tourism Training Centre
  • Eco Trekking Workshop & Adventure Meet TAAN (Trekking Agents Association of Nepal)
  • Intensive Wilderness First Aid KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project)
  • English Language KEEP
  • Conservation & Biodiversity TAAN
  • Rock & Ice Climbing & Mountaineering (Climbing leaders) Nepal Mountaineering Association
  • Trip safety

Once, you confirm your trip, it is our responsibility to make your trip wonderful without creating any difficulties. Hence, we have prepared our itinerary in such a way that it will properly acclimatize you. Also, we request you in advance to have regular exercises and make habits to walk in a daily basis. Similarly, during trek, you will be fully guided by our professional trekking guides and supporting team. They are properly trained in regards to safety and first aid. Even, we have every set up in case of emergency such as high altitude medicine and Gammow Bag (High altitude Chamber bag). Please note High altitude Chamber Bag is used to provide heat in your body and it is available on certain cost. Moreover, to let you familiar with altitude, you are suggested to walk slow and steady and ensure for proper acclimatization.

  • Climate and weather condition during trek

Weather in the mountains is extremely unpredictable. The nights are generally cooler and the days are warm. Winter (January and February) will be bit colder but the days can be quite beautiful and warm if the sun is out. There will be bit of snow during the month of January, February and December. It is also important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions. Expect the unexpected!

Everest Base Camp trek is likely to have a wide range of temperatures depending on the altitude and the time of day. In the mountains up to 3,500m the nights will be cool, normally around 5 degree C, and during the day temperatures sometimes rise to 25 degree C. At higher altitudes temperatures range from about 20 degree C to -15 degree C.

  • Permits and Fees

In Nepal, you most require permits and fees to enter a certain areas such as World heritage sites, National Park, restricted areas along climbing as well. All the trip prices are including the cost of relevant permits and entrance fees. In case of any such conditions we will inform you if required any additional permit fees before you make a booking with us.

  • Travel Insurance

While travelling to Nepal, you are requested to have a travel insurance that should cover any comprehensive expenses possible to acquire due to medical issues or accidents. Especially, your travel insurance must protect air ambulance, treatment charges, rescue and evacuation, product cancellation and refundable charges, flight delay and cancellations. We suggest you to bring you travel insurance certificate or send us scan copy and required to issue from your home land and we do not arrange or sell insurance.

Travelling in the Himalayas is full of adventurous; hence it is wise to choose a proper insurance policy. While choosing your insurance policy, make sure that it will protect all such unforeseen expenses. Your insurer should be well familiar with our itinerary that you have booked and must have agreed to cover all activities being undertaken during trip. Meantime, it is not compulsory that our all the assigned trip are facilities with Heli-rescue. You will not require heli rescue insurance for Tibet Tour as it is not possible to provide such facility.

  • Altitude Mountain sickness

AMS is the abbreviation for Acute Mountain sickness also termed as the High Altitude Sickness. AMS is one of the challenges that the trekkers/ climbers might face during their climb in the mountains. As you reach higher in the altitude the oxygen level gradually decreases. If a person tries to climb too quickly then there is a higher chance of getting AMS. The major symptoms of AMS is headache, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tiredness, difficulty in sleeping. However, AMS can be avoided by using some precautionary measures such as drinking plenty of water, eating enough food and walking in the steady pace. Our experienced guides who have been working in the Himalayas will help and instruct you for further measures.

Classic Outdoor will provide a well-qualified and experienced guide who has a good knowledge about AMS as they can recognize the early symptoms and advise medications for instant relief. We have designed our trips in such a way that the clients get full acclimatization and proper rest. You will also be provided with a Gamow bag upon request at an additional charge which is considered a major gear to reduce the effect of AMS. In the worst case scenario, we shall arrange a rescue and evacuation using a helicopter whose cost should be covered by your travel insurance.

  • Acclimatization

We are experts at operating at high-altitude. Every trip we run has a realistic acclimatization programme. Our treks are designed to allow gradual height gain, spread over a number of days. There is no way of predicting who will suffer from altitude but, for the vast majority of people, a slow ascent to height will produce minimal effects. We can provide 'Gamow Bag' as a precautionary measure as per your request on hiring basis. Acclimatizing takes time and there are no safe shortcuts. All trips to altitudes in excess of 3,000 meters carry medicines essential to the treatment of altitude illness, and our leaders are trained to administer them and to know the symptoms.

  • Physical Fitness

We strongly recommend our clients for consulting the doctor before planning your holidays. You should obtain professional advice from a travel clinic or your local GP about which vaccinations to have before you arrive in Nepal. Your doctor will advise current inoculation requirements. If a doctor has recommended against travel or indicated travel may be inconvenient then inform us of the details. On all trekking and exploratory trips technical experience is not required, hiking/camping experience is an advantage, but by far the most important thing is a positive attitude and a generous amount of determination. We strictly maintain hygiene foods on the trek. We carry extensive medical kits and, if the need should ever arise, we are able to evacuate seriously ill group members by helicopter. We run regular first aid courses for our all trekking guides and Sherpa helpers.

Trekking with Classic Outdoors was nothing less than incredible!

Rating:

From the moment I got in contact with Kritee, I was sure that I would go to my dream adventure with Classic Outdoors. She was professional, insightful and not forceful in any way, shape or form. He customized a trek that fit my budget and the time I wanted to stay up in the mountains.

My guide was Ganesh, a local guide more than a decade of experience trekking the mountains. He was the most amazing guide anyone could ask for. I met many other guides along the 18 days trek. He was, by far, the most knowledgeable, happy going guide that I crossed paths with. He shared so much knowledge and information with me, his communication was unbelievable! He listened to what my expectations and goals were for the trek.  Always had a smile on his face, always happy to answer any questions I ask, he could not have made the trip any more of a success.

As for a conclusion, Classic Outdoors is a great company that went above and beyond to meet my expectations. If you are looking for a trekking experience of a lifetime, Please contact Classic Outdoors.

Gokyo with Everest Base Camp trek (18 Days)

Rating:

We had Classic Outdoors to organize 18 days Gokyo with Everest Base Camp trek. Kritee helped us a lot getting answers to our endless email questioning various things. Their efforts undoubtedly made our trip easy and memorable. On arrival at the airport we met our guide Ganesh and headed straight to our hotel (Hotel Blue Horizon) a simple and a cozy hotel in the vicinity of Thamel. Next day we went straight to Lukla where we met our porter Sujan. Our Guide and porter were informative and cheerful without them I would have hard time climbing the steep mountains.

Highly professional service. We would not hesitate to book with the same company for our next visit.

Thank you team.
