Trip Introduction

Annapurna Panorama Trek is considered to be a soft trekking adventure. This trek offers you an opportunity to walk through the dense rhododendron forest, witness the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Gurungs of Annapurna Region, watch the beautiful high altitude birds of this region and view the magnificent Annapurna and Dhaulagiri towering over the land. This could be an opportunity to sight the panoramic view of Annapurna South, Machhapuchre, Manaslu, Dhampus Peak and Nilgiri. You will also get to see the beautiful Kali Gandaki gorge that is considered to be the deepest gorges of Nepal. The view from Poon hill is undoubtedly the perfect one and majestic.

This trek is easily attainable and is suitable for all age group. It requires you to walk for 4-5 hours a day so rigorous physical fitness is not needed and there is no risk of altitude sickness in this trek as the maximum altitude that we reach is 3,200m. Trip Includes:

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals included: Dinner

Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle comfortably. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During the meeting, we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we schedule a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. Tonight, you will spend your night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (8, 20m/2,690ft)

5-6 hours (Bus Ride)

Today our guide will pick you up from the hotel and will escort you to the bus stop to catch the early morning tourist coach to Pokhara. Your journey for today will be a very pleasant one along the Trisuli River up till Muglin. Both breakfast and lunch will be on the way to Pokhara. After almost 6-7 hours of a pleasant road travel, you will reach Pokhara, known as the valley of Lakes. Pokhara is the famous valley and probably amongst the most popular tourist's destinations of Nepal. Once you reach Pokhara, you can spend rest of your day exploring the city or Phewa Lake. The night will be spent at a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03: Drive to Nayapul & trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m/5,052ft)
Total duration:
2 hours of a bus ride and 4-5 hours walk
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today, after breakfast, you will be traveling to Nayapul from where our trek begins. It takes 2 hours of bus ride to reach Nayapul. Since our target for today is Tikhedhunga, the guide will brief us regarding the trekking to Tikhedhunga. We will introduce you to the other trekkers during breakfast. You will get some time to drool around the village and meet the local people while our porters sort out and load the trekking equipment. Our ultimate hike begins from Nayapul towards Birethati following the trail along the Modi River. Upon reaching Birethati formalities to enter the ACAP area needs to be completed. Then we will walk towards Bhrumdi Khola, Sudame, and Hiley passing through beautiful waterfalls on our way until we reach Tikhedhunga. A beautiful view of Mt. Machhapuchre can be seen on the way. This night will be spent at Tikhedhunga.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (3,194m/1,0479ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

Our destination for today is Ghorepani. Shortly after breakfast, our trek will begin. This is going to be a long uphill stoned steps climbing. After climbing almost 3000 steps, we will reach Ulleri. Our walk will continue after taking a short break. This time it’s a gentle uphill walk through Rhododendron and Pine forest to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani is the entry point of Poonhill. We will stay overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 05: Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,590m/8,497ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

It is the third day of our trek and our destination for today is set for Tadapani. Since we will be watching the sunrise view today, our trek will begin a little bit early than other days. We will walk up to Poonhill which is situated at 3,193m. We can catch the amazing sunrise view, a very close view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Range along with 20 other beautiful peaks and a distant view of Mustang and Pokhara from this point. After spending some time there we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast. After breakfast, we will walk towards Tadapani on the trail that passes through Deurali Pass, Banthati, and Thulo Odar Kharka. We can enjoy the beautiful rhododendron forest on our way to Tadapani. We will spend our night at Tadapani

Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,990m/6,529ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

Ghandruk is the destination set for today. After the sunrise view from Tadapani and the majestic view of beautiful peaks like Himchuli, Annapurna and Fishtail we will trace our trek downhill towards Ghandruk. We pass through dense rhododendron forest on our way to Ghandruk from Tadapani. After few hours of walk, we will reach Ghandruk. Ghandruk is one of the biggest and most beautiful villages of Annapurna region. A mass of local and international tourists visit this place every year during the spring season. We can spend the rest of day exploring the village, visit the Gurung Museum or hike around the hills nearby Ghandruk. We will stay overnight at Ghandruk.

Day 07: Trek to Nayapul and Drive back to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft)
Total duration:
6-7 hours walk and 2 hours of bus ride
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today is the last day of our trek and we will head towards Pokhara. It is going to be a long day because we will walk for almost 7 hours followed by 2 hours of bus ride to reach Pokhara. We will first walk towards Landruk where we can enjoy the beautiful view of whitewashed stone houses and temple. From Landruk we will walk towards Birethati following the downhill trail along the Modi River to finally reach Nayapul. This is the place where our trek ends. It takes 2 hours of bus ride to reach Pokhara. We can spend the evening exploring the nightlife of the city with the crew members or can take rest. We will stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, 7-8 hrs drive (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Total duration: 7-8 hrs drive
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will return to Kathmandu from Pokhara on a tourist coach. After 7-8 hours of drive, we will finally reach Kathmandu from where our journey began. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be escorted to the hotel. You can freshen up and go shopping in the evening at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist’s products. Since today is your last day in Kathmandu, we host a farewell dinner where you can give your feedback regarding the services that we provided during the entire trip. We will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: Departure Day
Meals included: Breakfast

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
