Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals included: Dinner

Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During this meeting we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we host a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. Tonight, will be spent at a hotel in Kathmandu. 

Day 02: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

After the breakfast, you will be visiting the different places in Kathmandu. There are many historic and cultural places that are of great significance in Kathmandu. You will get to see the major attractions of the city along with our professional guide and a private vehicle. The following are the major places that you will visit:

You will be visiting either Kathmandu Durbar Square or Patan Durbar Square, which has been listed in the UNESCO’s World Heritage Site .You, can enjoy the age-old cultural heritage of the city. Boudhanath and Swayambhunath a sacred pilgrimage of the Buddhist and Pashupatinath the very famous Hindu temple e are the attraction of today’s sightseeing program. After sightseeing, you will be meeting us at our office for a prior trek meeting. You can go for shopping in the evening at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist’s products. We will stay overnight at a deluxe hotel in Kathmandu.


Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Monjo (2,800m/9,184ft)
Total duration: 4-5 hours

Today, you will be transferred to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan Airport in the morning to board the flight to Lukla. After 30-35 minutes of flight, we will land to Tenzing- Hillary Airport, Lukla from where our destination begins. In a clear weather condition, one can enjoy the majestic panorama of various mountains on the way to Lukla from Kathmandu. There will be a short briefing session regarding the trekking and you will also be introduced to the other trekkers during your breakfast. You will get some time to go see the village and local people while porters sort out and load the trekking equipment. This walk is considered to be a short hike that will help you to acclimatize. After almost four hours of walk, you will reach Phakding. There are many beautiful monasteries to visit, beautiful Lukla village and a breathtaking terrain to view as well as a herd of yaks, Black Mani walls engraved with prayers in white, beautiful monasteries and a breathe taking view of Lukla village. Our trek continues along the trails of Dudhkoshi River. This uphill trail crossing the suspension bridge with prayer flags leads to Monju, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. There are many teahouses, and shops on the way to Monju from Phakding for light refreshment. We will spend our night at one of the deluxe hotels of Monju after dinner.

Day 04: Trek from Monjo to Namche Bazaar (3,445m/11,302ft)
Total duration: 3-4 hours

Today, after having breakfast in Monjo, our trekking continues. First of all the entrance formalities to enter the National Park needs to be cleared. Then we will be walking down the steeped trail to Dudhkoshi River. After crossing another suspension bridge,we will take the steep uphill trail that leads us to Namche Bazaar-Gateway to Mt. Everest. We will find many good restaurants, hotels, lodges shops, money exchange, bakeries and teahouses as Namche is the biggest village in the entire Everest trail. Major attractions of this day are view of Mt.Kusum, Lhotse, Nuptse and the first Glimpse of Mt. Everest. We will check in to a deluxe hotel at Namche for overnight stay.

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tashinga (3,450m/11,316ft)
Total duration: 2-3 hours

Our destination for today is Tashinga. So shortly after breakfast, we will begin out trek towardsTashinga chasing the trails of Everest base Camp passing through Tenzing Norgay Memorialstupa on the ridge. The mountains view from this place are enigmatical. From here we will head towards Kyangjuma, from where we will walk downhill passing through beautiful rhododendron forest and passing Sansa to reach Tashinga. Both lunch and dinner will be served at Tashinga and we will be staying overnight at a deluxe hotel here.

Day 06: Day excursion to Tengboche Monastery (3,873m/12,706m)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

Our destination for today is Tengboche Monastery. We will start our walk to a small village names Phunki Thanga that is situated beside Dudhkoshi River. There will be a steepe ascend for almost an hour after crossing the suspension bridge. The trail we follow here are cool and shady as the trails are heavily forested with pines and rhododendron. After an hour of gradual walk on the trail, we will reach the Tengboche monastery which was burnt and was rebuilt by the effort of Sir Edmund Hillary. After exploring the incredible monastery and the peripheral areas we will descend to Tashinga for overnight stay.

Day 07: Trek from Tashinga to Mende (3,500m/11,480ft)
Total duration: 4-5 hours

Today after breakfast, we will walk downhill to reach Khumjung. Khumjung is the biggest village of the area. It takes 3 to 4 hours of walk to reach Khumjung. This village has got typical type of trails through the houses. Beautiful chortens, Mane, prayer flags are seen here. There is a Sherpa School for secondary education (Only one of Khumbu), and we can also visit Khumbu Hospital in Kunde where western Doctors are available (With collaboration with Himalayan Rescue Association) for basic treatment of AMS. This night will be spent at a deluxe hotel of Khumjung.

Day 08: A day excursion to Thame (3,820m/12,530ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

Our trek today will begin from Khumjung towards Thame the place where Mani Rimdu festival is celebrated during autumn season of the year. Right after the breakfast, we will begin the hike towards Thame. Thame is one of the oldest settlements of this region. It has been known for the old salt trade route to Tibet. But this route is not in use by Nepali people however the Tibetan uses this route to sell their product like handicraft and clothes. Thame is also known for age old monasteries, avid Sherpa culture and beautiful panorama of various mountains. After having our lunch at Thame we will walk down to the small settlement named Mende. The evening can be spent exploring around Mende We will be staying overnight in a deluxe hotel at Mende.

Day 09: Trek from Mende to Phakding (2,160m/8,561ft)
Total duration: 4-5 hours

We will descend to Phakding today. After breakfast at Mende, we will retrace the trail back to Namche through Phortse. Upon reaching Namche, the trails will descend steeply towards Larja Doban crossing the river. A gentle ascend from here will take us to Monjo and after crossing two suspension bridge and a few hours of walk, we will finally reach to Phakding. We will be staying overnight in a deluxe hotel at Phakding.

Day 10: Phakding to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft)
Total duration: 4-5 hours
Meals Included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will have to ascend as well as descend today. We will cross the suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi River and descend for a while followed by a long ascend to reach Lukla from where our trek began. This evening can be spent with the team members roaming around market or can have some quality time with ourselves enjoying achievement that we made during past few days. We will spend this night at Lukla

Day 11: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals Included: Breakfast

Flight to and from Lukla are normally scheduled during the early hours as the weather might go unpredictably adverse during the later hours. After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport by our guide and your luggage will be taken care of by the porters and local Sherpas. You will reach to Kathmandu after a 30 min of flying. You will be escorted to the respective hotel by our staff from the airport.

Day 12: Leisure day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals Included: Breakfast/Dinner

The weather might go terribly worse in Lukla at times so this day is an extra day for you. You can spend your day roaming around the city, shopping at Thamel (a very happening tourist place in Kathmandu). You can also extend your trip with us on additional cost and try some adventure activities. Since today is your last day in Kathmandu, we host a farewell dinner where you can give your feedback regarding the services that we provided during the entire trip. We will stay at Kathmandu in a 5-star hotel tonight.

Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals included: Breakfast
This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
