Trip Introduction

The Mardi Himal trekking is one of the newly opened trekking trails in the Annapurna region. The highest point of Mardi Himal Base Camp trek 4500 meters at Mardi Himal Base Camp West. The trekking starts from Kande to Australian Base Camp. This particular trekking trail provides an aesthetic value to the person as you will be passing through the beautiful Gurung villages, cool bamboo forest, rhododendron forest as well as oak forest. 

The trek further provides you an opportunity to witness the breathtaking views of the magnificent Himalayan ranges such as Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli whole Annapurna range etc.

Day 09: Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara 

Day 10: Free day in Pokhara

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu 

Day 12: Depart Kathmandu

TRIP INCLUDES:

  • Airport pickups and Drop using a private vehicle.
  • Welcome dinner with live Nepali cultural program and Farewell dinner at one the finest restaurant in Thamel.
  • 2 nights’ accommodation in Kathmandu at ‘Hotel Blue Horizon’ or similar category with breakfast.
  • 3 night’s accommodation in Pokhara at ‘Hotel Batika’ or similar category with breakfast.
  • Transfer: Kathmandu to Pokhara and vice –a versa drive by Tourist coach. (private transportation can be arranged with extra charge)

  • Accommodations in Teahouse/Mountain Lodge or Homestay during the trek

  • One Trekking guide (Experienced, Fluent English Speaking, Gov. Licensed, first aid, and eco trained)and their entire expenses, equipment and insurance
  • Porters (One porter for every 2 members) and his entire expenses(salary, food, accommodation equipment, and insurance)
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and TIMS Card

TRIP EXCLUDES:

  • Nepal arrival visa (USD25 for 15 days and USD40 for 30 days in Cash) and international flights.
  • Dinner and lunch in Kathmandu except for welcome and farewell dinner. 
  • Your equipment and other expenses such as mineral water, soft beverages, confectionaries, laundries, phone calls, hot drinking water, bar bills, showers, internet facility, battery chargers, multi plugs, etc. 
  • Your travel insurance that covers Helicopter evacuation as well as medical expenses and trip cancellation. 
  • Tips of a guide, porters, and driver as a token of appreciation. 
  • Any other expenses or charges that are not mentioned in the “cost includes” list.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Meals included: Dinner

Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle comfortably. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During the meeting, we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we schedule a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (820 m) (approx. 6-7 hours)
Meals included: Breakfast

Today our guide will pick you up from the hotel and will escort you to the bus stop to catch the early morning bus tourist coach to Pokhara. Your journey is going to be a very pleasant one along the Trisuli River up till Muglin. You will have your breakfast and lunch on your way to Pokhara. After almost 6 hours of a pleasant road travel, you will reach Pokhara, known as the valley of Lakes. Pokhara is the famous valley and probably among the most popular tourists' destinations of Nepal. Once you reach Pokhara, you can spend rest of your day exploring the city or Phewa Lake. The night will be spent at a tourist standard hotel in Pokhara. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03: Drive to Kande and trek to Australian Camp.
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Early morning after having a breakfast at a hotel in Pokhara, your guide will escort you to Kande which is your trekking starting point. It will take almost an hour drive to reach Kande. From then on you will start your trek to Australian camp. You will have a steady walk as it is the first day of the trek. After walking for about 3 to 4 hours, you will reach Australian Camp which is your destination of the day. From Australian camp, you will get to view the amazing views of the Himalayan giants including Annapurna ranges and Mt. Dhaulagiri. Overnight at a lodge in Australian Camp.

Day 04: Trek to Forest Camp
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

In the morning, you will get an opportunity to view the sunrise over the Himalayas. After having a breakfast in Australian camp, you will follow the ascending trail to Forest camp. The trail is made of the stone steps until Deurali and further continue through the forests to Forest Camp. While on the trek you can enjoy the mesmerizing views of the majestic Annapurna and fishtail. Overnight at a local lodge in the Forest camp.

Day 05: Trekking to Low Camp
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

After having your breakfast you will be taking the trail following the jungle to Low Camp where you will be staying during the night. The trail passes through the Rhododendron and Oak forest. Overnight at a local lodge in Low Camp

Day 06: Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3,580) -4hrs walk
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today, after having your breakfast you will head up to High Camp. Trekking from Low Camp to High camp can itself be considered as one of the highlights of the trek. You will be walking through the typical hiking narrow trails, however, while on the way beautiful views of Himalayan giants such as Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre as you will be able to see it closely. Overnight at a local lodge in High Camp.

Day 07: Excursion tour from High Camp to Mardi Himal West Base Camp
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today is the best day of the trek as you will be trekking to Mardi Himal West Base Camp. It is also the highest point of your trekking journey which is 4500 meters above the sea level. After taking your breakfast, you will start your excursion trip to Mardi Himal West base Camp. You will get to see the fantastic views of the Annapurna range including the south face of Annapurna, Himchuli, and Machhapuchhre. Overnight at a lodge in High Camp

Day 08: Trekking to Siding Village (1,885m) through Mardi Himal South Base camp- 8 hrs walk
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today is quite a long day of your trek. After an early breakfast, you will be trekking through Mardi Himal South Base Camp to Siding village. You will take a descending trail passing through a jungle to the villages with stone steps. A slow and steady pace would really be helpful while descending the steps. Overnight at a local lodge at Siding Village.

Day 09: Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara.
Meals included: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner

Today is the last day of the trek as you will be trekking towards Lumre. It will take around 3-4 hours of walk to reach Lumre. Once you reach Lumre, you will be transferred back to Pokhara. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 10: Free day in Pokhara
Meals included: Breakfast

Today is the free day at Pokhara. You can spend the day relaxing or do other activities such as sightseeing, paragliding, zip flying etc. Any activity of your choice can be arranged upon request. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu
Meals included: Breakfast

You will return to Kathmandu from Pokhara on a tourist coach. After 7-8 hours of drive, we will finally reach Kathmandu from where our journey began. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be escorted to the hotel. You can freshen up and go shopping in the evening at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist’s products. Since today is your last day in Kathmandu, we host a farewell dinner where you can give your feedback regarding the services that we provided during the entire trip.We will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Depart Kathmandu
Meals included: Breakfast

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
