Pisang Peak climbing is considered to be among the easy climbing in the Annapurna region. This peak lies at the backdrop of the Pisang village. This climbing follows the trails of Annapurna circuit up till the base camp.One will reach at the altitude of 6901m.This could be an opportunity to view the majestic vista of different peaks like Annapurna Range, Mt. Chulu East, Tilicho, Nawal and many more.

Trip Includes:

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Meals included: Dinner

Our airport representative will be there to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle comfortably. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During the meeting, we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we schedule a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. Tonight, you will spend your night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive to Besisahar (760m/2493ft) by local bus and drive to Syange (1100m/3609ft)
Total duration: Approximately 10 hour’s drive

Since today is the first day of your long trek, our staff will pick you up from the hotel to drop you off to the bus station to catch the bus for Besisahar. You will be traveling towards the western part from Kathmandu. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on the way to Besisahar. After almost 6-7 hours of bus ride, you will reach to Dumre from where you will head towards Besisahar. Upon reaching Besisahar, we will be taking another local transfer to Syange. The roads are graveled and rough hence, you might experience sudden jolts very now and then. You will be passing through several villages such as Bhulbhule, Bahundanga, Ghermu and finally reach Syange after approximately 3 hours of drive. Overnight at a local lodge at Syange

Day 03: Trek to Tal, (1700m/51816ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

The destination for today is set for Tal. So soon after breakfast, we will start our trekking. A gradual ascent will lead us towards Jagat one of the popular village of the region amongst the trekkers. A steep climb from Jagat and we will reach another beautiful village of this region, Chamje. From Chamje the walk will start to get a bit tougher and long until we reach Tal village for overnight stay.

Day 04: Trek to Bagarchhap (2670m/ 81381ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Technically today is the second day of our trek. Today we will enter Manang district. Our destination is set for Bagarchhap. There will be uphill and downhill walk along the Marsyangdi River. You will also get encountered with the traditional mani walls which is basically a structure made out of stone tablets with the prayer in scripted on it. Then we will trace our way down to Dharapani and then to Odar where ACAP check post is situated. Walking along the trail for some time we will finally reach Bagarchhap. We will stay overnight here.

Day 05: Trek to Chame (2,720m/8,923ft)
Total duration: 5 hours

For today our destination is set Chame. We will begin our trek with an uphill climb towards Danaque. After Danaque we will walk throughout the trail that offers the beautiful view of mountains like Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and IV. After some time we will reach Tyanga and finally to Chame which is the headquarter of Manang. The trails to reach Chame aren’t easy. You have to pass through numerous uphill and downhill trails to reach Chame. Chame is one of the beautiful villages with a large settlement. We will stay overnight at Chame.

Day 06: Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300m/10,0584ft)
Total duration: 6-7 hours

Today after breakfast at Chame, we will begin our trek towards upper Pisang. We will follow the steep trail pass the Oak and maple forest. Once we cross the two long bridges, we will catch the trails that lead us to Pisang. After taking rest for some time, a short walk from Pisang will take us to Upper Pisang. This is where we will stay overnight. 

Day 07: Acclimatization at Upper Pisang (3,300m/10,0584ft)
Total duration: 2-3 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today is set aside for acclimatization. It is always very important for us to get ample rest before getting to the higher altitude and get accustomed with the thinner air. We can spend the day by exploring the peripheral areas that offer magnificent views of the mountains. We can also get the glimpse of the highland culture. After exploring the place we will stay overnight at Pisang.

Day 08: Trek to Pisang Peak Base camp (4,380m/1,33502ft)
Total duration: 6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will be trekking to the Pisang Peak base camp. We will walk pass the alpine forest and slowly reach the point beyond the tree line. We will get to see the amazing vista of the Annapurna range. The day is going to be strenuous yet very rewarding. We will stay overnight in the tented camp at Pisang Base Camp.

Day 09: Trek to Pisang Peak High camp (5,400m/1,64592ft)
Total duration: 6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will be trekking to the high camp today. Walking is tough as we will walk on the alpine trail. After walking for six hours on the rock-strewn glacial trail we will reach the high camp which is at 5400m. This place offers an amazing vista of Mt. Chulu, Mt. Nawal, Mt. Tilicho and the Annapurna Range. We will stay overnight in the tented camp.

Day 10: Summit Pisang Peak (6,091m/19,984ft) and trek back to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380m/1,33502ft)
Total duration: 7 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today is the day. We will be actually climbing the Peak. We will have to start early as the weather during are really very unpredictable and might get adverse at times. This ascent is moderately challenging. In few hours we will reach above 6000m from where we can see the amazing Annapurna Range, Chulu East, Chulu Far, Nawal, Tilije, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and many more at very close vicinity. After spending some time there we will trace back the trails to the high camp and then to the base camp for overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek to Manang (3,440m/11,286ft)
Total duration: 6-7 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will begin our walk towards the drier part of Manang. You will have the option to choose your route through Ghyaru or Ghongde (old Tibetan villages). Both of these routes meets at Munchi. You can choose either one to head forward. Upon reaching Munchi, we will move towards Manang crossing Braga which is a traditional Tibetan village. You can also visit Braga Gompa which is one of the oldest gompa in the country believed to have in existence some 900 years ago.   Tonight will be spent at Manang.

Day 12:  Trek to Yak Kharka (4,230m/13,877ft)
Total duration: 5 hours

Our destination for today is Yak Kharka. Today there will be a gradual climb up till Tenki, Manang. This is the point from where the peaks like Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Tilicho are seen as close vicinity. Then the trails gently wind up offering the amazing view of the terrain. The land is covered with spars bushes in this region. After few hours of walk along the trail, we will reach Yak Kharka and stay overnight.

Day 13: Trek to Thorang Phedi (4,450m/14,599ft)
Total duration: 5 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today we will head towards Thorang Phedi from Yak Kharka. The trails to Thorang Phedi are easy in the beginning but it gets tougher as we walk for an hour. There are some tea shops for light refreshments. From this point, we will have to walk through challenging cliffs to reach Thorang Phedi. This night will be spent at Thorang Phedi.

Day 14: Trek to Muktinath(3,760m/12,335ft) via Thorang La Pass (5415m/17766ft) 
Total duration: 8 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today is the day to trek up to the highest point of the Annapurna circuit. Thorang La Pass 5,415m.It is difficult to walk during the day because of the wind; we have to start our walk a bit early than other days to reach this point before noon. An easy ascend of around 4 hours will take you to Thorang La Pass. We can see the amazing view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri from this point. After spending some time here we will descend for almost 4 hours to reach Muktinath. Muktinath is a sacred Hindu Pilgrimage in Mustang District. A number of domestic Hindu and Buddhist tourist visit Muktinath every year. We will stay overnight at Muktinath.

Day 15: Trek to Jomsom (2720m)
Total duration: 6-7 hours 
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner 

Today you will descend down the dramatic Kali Gandaki valley, initially through arid country in the same geographical and climatic zone as Tibet. After passing through Jharkot and Khingar, villages with typical Tibetan architecture, we follow the valley floor most of the way to Jomsom. En-route, you get the opportunity to view the tremendous views of both Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Jomsom is a large town sprawled along both banks of the Kali Gandaki River, and it is here we will spend the final night of our trek. Overnight at a lodge in Jomsom

Day 16: Fly to Pokhara (827m)
Total duration: 35 minutes flight
Meals included: Breakfast 

We take an early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. It is a spectacular flight along the Kali Gandaki Gorge and provides wonderful views of both the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. Rest of the day at leisure in Pokhara. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara

Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Total duration: 7-8 hrs drive
Meals included: Breakfast/Dinner

We will return to Kathmandu from Pokhara on a tourist coach. After 7-8 hours of drive, we will finally reach Kathmandu from where our journey began. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be escorted to the hotel. You can freshen up and go shopping in the evening at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist’s products. Since today is your last day in Kathmandu, we host a farewell dinner where you can give your feedback regarding the services that we provided regarding the entire trip. We will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 18: Departure day
Meals included: Breakfast

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
