Trip Includes:

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Meals included: Dinner

Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu upon your arrival. He/she will escort you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During this meeting we will introduce you to your leader/guide. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we host a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. Tonight will be spent at a hotel in Kathmandu. 
  
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing: World Heritage Sites
Total duration: 4-5 hours

After the breakfast, you will be visiting the different places in Kathmandu. There are many historic and cultural places that are of great significance in Kathmandu. You will get to see the major attractions of the city along with our professional guide and a private vehicle. The following are the major places that you will visit.
You will be visiting Patan Durbar Square, which has been listed in the UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. You, can enjoy the age-old cultural heritage of the city. Boudhanath and Swayambhunath a sacred pilgrimage of the Buddhist and Pashupatinath the very famous Hindu temple e are the attraction of today’s sightseeing program. After sightseeing, you will be meeting us at our office for a prior trek meeting. You can go shopping in the evening at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist’s products. We will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (150m/490 ft): 1 hour
Total duration: 1 hour

Today we will fly to Nepalgunj. Our staff will transfer you to the domestic terminal of TIA. After an hour of flight we will reach Nepalgunj. Nepalgunj is a big and popular city of Banke district and it is also a gateway to Jumla from where our actual trek begins. We will stay overnight at Nepalgunj.

Day 04: Fly from Nepalgunj to Jumla (2,540m/8,334ft): 20 minutes
Total duration: 20 minutes

Today we will fly to Jumla. 20 minutes of scenic flight will take us to Jufal airport, Jumla. Jumla is one of the beautiful yet least accessible places of Nepal situated at the foothills of Sisne Himal. We can explore the Karnali region from Jumla. We will stay overnight at Jumla.

Day 05: Trek from Jumla to Chere Chaur (3055m/10,023ft)
Total duration: 6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today is the first day of our trek and the destination is set for Chere Chaur. It takes almost 6 hours of walk to reach there. We will walk on the ascending trail along the Jugad Khola. We will walk pass Khalanga Village and many other small villages and temples before we reach Chere Chaur. We will stay overnight at Chere Chaur.

Day 06: Chere Chaur to Chalachaur (2980m/9,777ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

The destination for today is set for Chalachaur. We will ascend on the western trail. We will reach Jaljala Pass 3580m. From here we will continue to walk on the straight trail until we reach Jaljala Chaur. We will have to reach the Rara Circuit trail before we reach Chalachaur. The trail to Chalachaur is steep. After a few hours of walk we will reach Chalachaur and stay overnight here.

Day 07: Chalachaur to Sinja Valley (2490m/ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

Our destination for today is set for Sinja Valley. We will walk uphill along the Jaljala Khola. En route we will pass through many villages. After few hours of walk we will reach Sinja valley. Sinja valley is of historic significance. The ancient capital city of Khasha Kingdom (12th to 14th century) is situated in this valley. Palaces, temples, and the ancient remains of a settlement were uncovered during excavations spearheaded by the Department of Archaeology at Cambridge University. We will stay overnight at Sinja Valley.

Day 08: Sinja to Ghorosingha (3050m/10007ft)
Total duration: 6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will trek to Ghorosingha. We will leave the Sinja valley and take the uphill trail along Hima River. The trail is steep in the beginning and it gets easier before reaching Laha Village. After taking some rest here we will take the steep trail to reach Ghorosingha. We will stay overnight at Ghorosingha.

Day 09: Ghorosingha to Rara Lake (3010m/9876ft)
Total duration: 6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today is the day as we get the first glimpse of the Rara Lake. So we will begin our walk right after the breakfast at Ghorosingha. We will climb the steep trails alongside Chuchhemara Danda. This trail offers an amazing view of the Himalayan panorama as well as the breath taking Rara Lake and the amazing temperate vegetation around the lake adding cherry on the top. From here we will walk towards Murma passing through Khatyar Khola. From Murma the trail is a bit easier towards Chapri village. Headquarter of Rara National park is situated located at this village. We will stay overnight at Rara lake.

Day 10: Explore Rara Lake
Total duration: 4-5 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will explore the lake today. Rara Lake is widely known as the queen of the lakes. It is the biggest freshwater Lake in Nepal. Water is blue and clear. Rara Lake is also known as Mahendra Taal which harbors wide varieties of aquatic flora and fauna. We can see the beautiful vista of Ruma Kand and Malika Kand to its north. After exploring the area we will stay overnight here.

Day 11: Rara Lake to Pina (2440m/ 8006ft)
Total duration:
4-5 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will walk to Pina today. From Rara we will take the trails that are relatively easy and straight until we reach Gumgadi which is a headquarter of Mugu District. We walk pass beautiful forest with the overwhelming view of the terrain from Gumgadi we will walk down the steep trail to reach Pina to stay overnight.

Day 12: Pina to Bumra (2850m/9351ft) 
Total duration: 4-5 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Today we will walk to Bumra. We will descend through the steep trail to reach Ghurchi Lagna pass at 3480m. From here we will continue to descend passing through many villages until we reach Bumra. This village is also called Naurighat. We will stay overnight at Naurighat.

Day 13: Trek ends: Bumra to Jumla (2540m/8334ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will trek back to Jumla from Burma. So after breakfast, we will begin to descend. We will cross the suspension bridge over Hima River and then continue to descend. After few hours of walk, we will reach a hot spring. This spring is believed to relief the muscle pain. We can take a dip in the water and relax for some time. From here we will walk to reach Daphne Lagna Pass at 3691 m and then will reach Chere Chaur. Following the same route back we will reach Jumla for overnight stay.

Day 14: Fly to Nepalgunj, fly to Kathmandu
Meals included: Breakfast/Dinner

After breakfast, we will head towards the Jufal airport by our guide to take an early flight to Nepalgunj. The luggage will be taken care of by the porters .We will reach to Nepalgunj after a 20 min of flying. From Nepalgunj it takes 50minutes to reach Kathmandu. You will be escorted to the respective hotel by our staff from the airport. You will have time to rest. Since today is your last day in Kathmandu, we host a farewell dinner where you can give your feedback regarding the services that we provided during the entire trip. We will stay at Kathmandu tonight.

Day 15: Final departure
Meals included: Breakfast

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
