Trip Introduction

11 days Everest Panorama trek is a short trek to the Everest region, for those who want to undergo the breathtaking view of Mt. Everest and other mountains of Khumbu Region.I t is one of the most popular treks providing an opportunity to the cultural insight of the Sherpa people in the Everest region. In the meantime on your way, you will get an opportunity to visit Sagarmatha National Park, which is listed in the UNESCO's World Heritage Site. Everest Panorama Trek is well suited to those who want to see the Everest base camp and the Everest region in less than two weeks. The topography, spectacular view of the mountains including Mt. Makalu, Mt.Choyu, Lhotse, Nuptse and the distinctive vegetation due to altitudinal variation are some of the major attraction of this trek.

Everest Panorama trek will begin with a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and back to Kathmandu. Trek includes your flight tickets to and from Lukla, accommodation and full board meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Your accommodation will be arranged at the local tea houses that are run by the local Sherpa people. You will be provided with a map to the base camp region. We can customize your trip as per your need with a special group discount.

We ensure you a guaranteed departure on your chosen date. Everest reason trek though attainable but are difficult at times especially due to the unpredictable weather conditions. This might create complications so we suggest you to plan your trip during the right season. March to May and September to Mid December are the best months for good weather and trails, clear sky, and great visibility. Good mental and physical health is very essential for this trip, thus you need to prepare yourself accordingly. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Day 02: Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) (30-35 minute flight)

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft) (5-6 Hours Walk)

Day 04: Namche Bazaar- a day for acclimatization

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft) (5 Hours Walk)

Day 06: Trek from Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft) to Khumjung (3780m/12402ft) (3 hours approximately)

Day 07: Trek from Khumjung (3780m/12402ft) to Thame (3800m/12468ft) (4 to 5 hours walk)

Day 08: Trek from Thame (3800m/12468ft) to Monjo (2835m/9302 ft) (4 to 5 hours walk)

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals included: Dinner

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will receive and transfer you to the respective hotel in a private vehicle. Your prior trip meeting will be scheduled on the very day at the hotel before dinner. However, our airport representative will give you a brief idea about the second day’s schedule on your way to the hotel. During the meeting, we will introduce you to your leader/guide. You will have to make the remaining payment if any. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your trek or anything that is related to your trip. To make you feel comfortable, we host a welcome dinner for you in a popular restaurant in the city where you can enjoy authentic Nepali meal along with cultural programs including ethnic dance and songs. You will be spending this night at the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) (30-35 minute flight)
Total duration: 4 hours walk

We will drive you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan Airport in the morning to board the flight to Lukla. After 30-35 minutes of flight, you will land to Tenzing- Hillary Airport, Lukla from where your destination begins. In a clear weather condition, you can enjoy the majestic panorama of different mountains on your way to Lukla from Kathmandu. You will be briefed by our guide regarding the trekking to Phakding. You will have your breakfast here along with other trekkers and will get some extra time to drool around the village and get acclimatize while the porters sort out and load the trekking equipment. A walk of four hours will help you reachPhakding. On your way, you will see the herd of yaks, Black Mani walls engraved with prayers in white, beautiful monasteries breathe taking a view of Lukla village, there are many resting places and tea houses in Phakding and you will be staying in one of these lodges tonight.

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)
Total duration: 5-6 hours

Today, our trek continues along the trail of Dudhkoshi River after breakfast in Phakding. We begin with an uphill walk crossing the suspension bridge with prayer flags that lead to Monjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. There are many teahouses, and shops on the way to Monju from Phakding for light refreshment. After clearing the entrance formalities to enter the National Park, we will walk down the steeped trail to Dudhkoshi River. After crossing another interesting suspension bridge, the uphill trail will lead you to Namche Bazaar-Gateway to Mt. Everest. We can find many good restaurants, hotels, lodges shops, money exchange, bakeries and teahouses as Namche is the biggest village along the whole Everest trail. Major attractions of this day are an amazing view of Mt. Kusum, Lhotse, Nuptse and the first Glimpse of Mt. Everest. We will stay in a guesthouse tonight. 

Day 04: Namche Bazaar- a day for acclimatization
Total duration: 2-3 hours

The entire day will be spent in Namche so as to adjust with the thin air and the environment. Namche is an important acclimatizing spot. It is always advisable to remain active instead of sitting ideal during the day. Today, we will go for a short trek to Thame, an old Sherpa village, to celebrate and watch Sherpa Tradition or we can visit the peripheral villages offering us a lot more to see and cherish. We can also visit the National Parks headquarter, monasteries or the museum. Evening time can be spent by roaming around the market areas. This night will also be spent in a lodge in Namche Bazaar. 

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft)
Total duration: 5 hours

The trek for today will start shortly after the breakfast. Today we will follow the trails along the glacial water of Dudhkoshi up till the altitude of 3867m. On our way, we can enjoy the phenomenal view of the Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Enthralling Thamserku exists in the close vicinity of the trail along with the lush of the temperate vegetation including Rhododendron, Oak, Juniper etc. We might also get a glance of wild fauna like Himalayan Thar, Musk deer, Snow Leopard and different varieties of birds prevailing in that region. Upon reaching Tengboche; we can visit the famous Tengboche Monastery decorated with beautiful Sherpa art and beautiful wall hangings. We will stay overnight at a lodge/teahouse in Tengboche.

Day 06: Trek from Tengboche (3,867m/12,684ft) to Khumjung (3780m/12402ft)

4-5 hours

Today after breakfast, we will walk down to Phunke Tenga which is a small settlement with few teahouses. After a descend through the forest crossing the river there will be a gradual uphill walk to reach Kyangjuma through Tashinga Village. From here it is about 40 to 50 minutes of walk to reach Khumjung. This village has got a typical type of trails through the houses. Beautiful chortens, Mane, Prayer Flags are seen here. There is a Sherpa School for secondary education (Only one of Khumbu), and we can also visit Khumbu Hospital in Kunde where western Doctors are available (With collaboration with Himalayan Rescue Association) for basic treatment of AMS. This night will be spent at Khumjung.

Day 07: Trek from Khumjung (3780m/12402ft) to Thame (3800m/12468ft)
Total duration: 4 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Our trek for today will begin at Khumjung towards Thame. After breakfast, we will begin the hike towards Thame. Thame is one of the oldest settlements in this region. It has been known for the old salt trade route to Tibet. But this route is not in use by Nepali people however the Tibetan uses this route to sell their product like handicraft and clothes. Thame is also known for age-old monasteries, avid Sherpa culture and beautiful panorama mountains. We will be staying overnight at Thame.

Day 08: Trek from Thame (3800m/12468ft) to Monjo (2835m/9302 ft)
Total duration: 6 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Our trek will begin after the breakfast today. Though a longer one but today’s trek is comparatively easier than the other days. We will come across few Sherpa settlement during the walk. A walk of almost 6 hours will take us to Monjo which is a beautiful Sherpa village. People of this village depend on agriculture for their livelihood. These people are warm and friendly. Today’s night will be spent at Monjo after dinner.

Day 09: Trek from Monjo (2835m/9302 ft) to Lukla (2840m/9317 ft)
Total duration: 4-5 hours
Meals included: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

We will have to ascend as well as descend today. We will cross the suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi River and descend for a while followed by a long ascend to reach Lukla from where our trek began. This evening can be spent with the team members roaming around the market or can have some quality time with ourselves enjoying achievement that we made during past few days. We will spend this night at Lukla. 

Day 10: Fly back to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Meals included: Breakfast/Dinner

Flight to and from Lukla are normally during the early hours as the weather might go unpredictably adverse during the later hours. After your breakfast, you will be taken to the airport by our guide and your luggage will be taken care of by the porters and local Sherpas. You will reach to Kathmandu after a 30 min of flying. You will be escorted to the respective hotel by our staff from the airport.

Day 11: Farewell Day

This is the last day of your trip with us. You can extend your trip for one or two days to visit other interesting places in and out of Kathmandu which is completely optional. If not then one of our staff will escort you to the airport as per your scheduled departure. You can roam around the city and buy souvenirs’ and do shopping to take along with you if your flight is scheduled during late hours.
