EBC once in a lifetime experience

Rating:

Mr. Jason Elliot (Australian) along with his family of 4 took the 15 days Everest Base Camp Trek as featured in our website Everest Base Camp Trek - 15 Days last year. Here is what they have to say, “We arrived Kathmandu on 20th of September 2015 where we were welcomed by the staff of Classic Outdoors with a garland of marigold flower. On the way to our hotel, we learned our first Nepali word ‘Namaste’ which literally meant “the divine in me salutes the divine in you”. We went to Pashupatinath and Boudhanath along with Patan Durbar area. It was great to see that people of different religions stay together in peace and harmony. The palace area was beautiful, the traditional buildings and handicrafts attracted me the most. The next day be board a flight to Lukla, which was the gateway to our destination. We saw various Himalayan ranges from the flight but the most exhilarating part was the landing at one of the most dangerous airport in the world. However, our pilot was very experienced and had a very safe landing. Namchebazar was other highlights of the trip. We were amazed that there were many shops, restaurants, hotels etc that could entertain any one. The people of the region were so polite and hospitable. The trek continued for days where we enjoyed the views of the mountains, landscape and the local culture as we stayed at different villages. The accomplishment of the trek was on day 10 when we reached Kalapattar at an altitude of 5550 meter which was also the highest altitude of the trek. We had a very nice time in Nepal. All the people that we met were very friendly and we look forward to our next trip to Nepal very soon”.

Talking about Nepal, I loved the place since my first visit 6 years back when I came for a short safari tour to Chitwan with my mom. Needless to say, I had a wonderful time there. When I learned about the deadly earthquake that occurred, I was very devastated. However, I am glad that even after the tragic event people of Nepal are still fighting back and working their level best to provide the best possible service. I had a really awesome time during the trek to the base camp. The views of the mountains made me spell bounded. I enjoyed every bit of the time spent on the mountains and would certainly look forward to the next possible trip.

Last autumn, two of our clients’ Mr. Arved Weers & Mr. Martin Korn from Germany had a trek to Everest Base Camp with The Classic Outdoors. Here is what they have to say, “Visiting the base camp of the world’s highest peak is a dream come true. So far it is the most remarkable place that we had been to. The local people that we met on our way were very hospitable and kind. The guides assigned to us were very informative and helpful. Going to the Base Camp on our vacation was the best decision made. We would definitely recommend our friends and family to visit this fabulous place”.
